The Economic Development Council of Colorado announced on Wednesday it has hired Kimberly Woodworth as its operations director.
Woodworth will start Jan. 4. Members of the EDCC, which is based in Denver, include economic developers and economic development groups from across the state. Until Woodworth’s hiring, the council has relied on volunteers to manage its affairs.
“We are thrilled to have Kim join EDCC. Kim brings a wealth of experience that will allow EDCC to move to the next level,” Kelly Flenniken, the council’s incoming chairwoman, said in a statement.
Woodworth has worked in various positions at the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp. since 2010, including managing the group’s $4 million budget.
She also worked as the marketing and public relations director at Denver Brass and is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado.
