A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in west Denver Friday afternoon, police said.
The traffic accident happened on West Colfax Avenue near Xavier Street, according to a 3:20 p.m. Denver Police Department Twitter post.
The eastbound lanes of Colfax have been closed at Xavier and the northbound lane of Wolff Street at Colfax is also closed.
Police said at 3:45 p.m. that the pedestrian was killed.
