Used vehicle registrations, limited to vehicles 7 years old or newer, were up 22.8 percent from November 2014.

“Low interest rates, extremely low fuel prices, readily available credit for most buyers and lower unemployment are the main driving factors —all encouraging signs for the economy and Colorado’s new car industry,” CADA president Tim Jackson said in a statement.

Through 11 months of the year, new vehicle registrations in Colorado are up 10.3 percent. Used vehicle registrations have also been strong, growing 8 percent through November.

Light trucks continue to outperform cars. New truck registrations are up 17.5 percent and new cars are down 1.1 percent in 2015.

Compact SUVs, compact luxury SUVs, compact pickups, full-size pickups and full-size crossover SUVs have seen the largest increases in market share so far this year, Jackson said.
