Kailash Graham-Bell of Fairview in Boulder will play football in the Ivy League for Penn’s Quakers, Knights coach Tom McCartney said.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound defensive end also took trips to Columbia, Harvard and Yale, and accumulated offers from San Diego, Penn, Yale, Columbia and Dartmouth.

“It will be a great place for him,” McCartney said.

Graham-Bell, who was third on the Knights in tackles, had five sacks and added an interception, will have the opportunity to attend Penn’s famous and prestigious Wharton School. And he will play his home games at fabled Franklin Field.

Quakers senior defensive end Jack Madden is a former Fairview Knight and Regis Jesuit defensive lineman Ace Escobedo has committed to Penn for next season.

Plus, McCartney added, Graham-Bell and Escobedo will have the opportunity to go against former Knights quarterback Anders Hill, who plays for the Ivy’s Columbia.

“They’ll get to tackle Anders,” McCartney said.
