The Aurora Police Department is asking anyone with information about a woman found dead at the Pacesetter Motel to come forward.
Aurora police responded to the motel at 14291 East Colfax Avenue at 9 p.m. on Dec. 19, where they found a dead woman in a room, according to an Aurora Police Department news release.
The woman has been identified as 35-year-old Avis Pitts, police said.
The major crimes and homicide unit took over the investigation.
