The NHL on Friday announced the preliminary rosters for next month’s big alumni game at Coors Field, a day before the Stadium Series game between the Avalanche and Red Wings. Only players from the 1996-2002 era are eligible and more are expected to be added.
Colorado’s Adam Deadmarsh is listed as a coach and not expected to play. The Avs’ Joe Sakic is trying to rally from a fairly serious back injury. He thinks he will be able to play.
