DENVER — National parks throughout the country will offer free admission on Monday, January 18 to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
“We invite all Americans to honor the legacy of Dr. King in a national park,” said National Park Service Director Jonathan B. Jarvis.
Colorado has four National Parks — Rocky Mountain National Park, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Mesa Verde National Park.
While admission is free, parks may charge for parking, tours, reservations and camping.
