An Aurora attorney who told investigators twice in 2014 has been convicted in Adams County of false reporting and attempting to influence a public servant.
Becky Keil was charged in the case in August 2014 after Westminster police found she lied about being abducted in two separate occasions in March and May of that year.
Prosecutors say she faked both kidnappings, which prompted authorities to seek the public’s help in finding her.
Keil was convicted on Jan. 7. Prosecutors say she will be sentenced March 14.
