The woman accused of earlier this week was officially charged on Friday, officials said.

Marlene Zacevich-Rodriguez, 42, is charged with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault, according to a Denver District Attorney news release.

The charges allege that Zacevich-Rodriguez climbed into the passenger seat of Fire Chief Eric Tade’s vehicle and attacked him with a knife.

Zacevich-Rodriguez remains in custody on a $100,000 bond.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 26 at 8:30 a.m.
