A stretch of warm, sunny weather is expected to continue through the weekend in Denver.
“A strong, upper-level ridge over the western United States is responsible for the dry and warm weather of the past several days,” the National Weather Service in Boulder said in a forecast bulletin.
Forecasters are calling for a high near 52 degrees on Friday in the city.
“Warmer than normal temperatures will continue across northeast Colorado through the weekend and into early next week,” the bulletin said.
On Saturday, temperatures are expected to top out near 60.
The high is forecast near 55 degrees on Sunday and about 56 degrees on Monday.
