Getting your player ready...

Republican presidential candidate, Ohio Gov. John Kasich laughs as he speaks to supporters, Feb. 9, in Concord, N.H., at his primary night rally. (Jim Cole, The Associated Press)

I am an independent voter with a strong Democratic leaning. If this presidential election comes down to Donald Trump versus either Democratic candidate, I will vote Democratic. If John Kasich were running against either Democrat, I would vote for Kasich.

I wonder if the Republicans will ever realize that if they put up a moderate candidate against these weak Democrats, they will not only get all the Republican votes but also all the votes of people like me. Why force us to vote against you?
