
An Arapahoe County sheriff’s deputy remains in critical condition more than a week after his patrol vehicle was struck by a pickup truck in a violent crash.
Deputy Bill Foreman Jr. had his lights and sirens activated as he when he was hit.
“It is apparent that his road to recovery will be long,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Authorities are working to raise money for Foreman through a campaign with the Arapahoe Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #31.

On the day of the Feb. 10 crash, Foreman was set to be recognized for his 25 years of service as a deputy in Arapahoe County.
Investigators — Felipe Castanda Alacala,— in the wreck. He is suspected of careless driving resulting in injury and failure to yield to the right of way.
The Colorado State Patrol says Alacala turned his Ford F-350 pickup into Foreman’s path.
