Colorado Springs police cited a FedEx driver with careless driving resulting in death after a two-vehicle crash Monday evening.

Investigators say the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and turned into the path of an oncoming car, killing 26-year-old Kianna Nash.

The collision happened about 6 p.m. at the intersection of Palmer Park Boulevard and Fetterman Drive.

The FedEx driver, whose name also was not released, was also injured.

Police say the FedEx driver was trying to make a left turn into the westbound lanes of Palmer Park when Nash’s car slammed into the delivery vehicle.

The driver of the FedEx truck was also cited for a stop sign violation.
