Interview with Eric Noffsinger, owner
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: We have always been very big advocates for vaping and it helped all of us quit smoking cigarettes. We now look to do the same for others.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: What differentiates us from other vape shops is that we offer an amazing sci-fi lounge complete with video games, a bar for testing flavors and a massive amount of events to help everyone from beginners to experts. We know the atmosphere is truly from a different galaxy.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: What I like best about my line of work is that I get to wake up every morning and make a difference in peoples’ lives and that’s not something everyone can say. I have helped more than 20 people quit smoking cigarettes, all ranging from young adults to 70-year-old seniors who have been smoking for 30 years.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Currently, our — and the vape industry as a whole’s — biggest challenge is the constant battle with the FDA, big tobacco, big pharma as well as all of their supporters. I personally believe the vaping industry should be regulated, but nowhere close to the extent they want it. If HR 2058 passes without being reworked, 99.9 percent of life-changing vapor products will be removed from the market and thousands of people in our industry will be out of jobs.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: Something you may be surprised to learn about Cantina Vapes is that we are all geeks. We took our two biggest passions and combined them into one, and thus Cantina Vapes was born.
