A pair of grab-and-run thieves are hitting convenience stores north of Denver along the I-25 corridor.
Four early-morning — between 12:30 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. — robberies happened between Sunday and Tuesday, according to a Weld County Sheriff’s Office media release.
In each of the robberies, a man asks a clerk for a pack of cigarettes. When the clerk is distracted, the man grabs a charity donation box or an automatic change dispenser off the counter and runs from the store to a waiting, running vehicle with a driver behind the wheel.
Investigators describe the getaway car as a silver, 4-door sedan, possibly an early 2000s Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable.
The four robbed are: Kum-n-Go, Dacono; Kum-n-Go, Mead; Conoco, Mead; 7-Eleven, Windsor. All of the stores are on the east side of Interstate 25.
So far the pair has stolen about $200, according to police.
No weapons have been used and no one has been injured in the incidents.
The sheriff’s office on Wednesday released a photo of a suspect.

Tipsters could receive a $2,000 reward for information leading to charges.
