In the wake of , officers from throughout the state — including as far away as Durango — have been flooding into Park County to aid their depleted sheriff’s office.

The gun battle Wednesday with Martin Wirth and two other deputies injured.

Several other members of the Park County Sheriff’s Officer were also on scene and apparently involved in the shootout.

“Immediately I began to look the logistics of the situation and how we were going to cover shifts as almost one-half of our patrol division was injured or had been placed on administrative leave,” Undersheriff Monte Gore said in news release.

Gore said deputies from sheriff’s offices in La Plata, El Paso, Jefferson, Summit, Fremont and Chaffee counties all have pitched in to cover regular duties.

The Colorado State Patrol, Colorado Springs police, Alma police, Fairplay police and Buena Vista police have all come to the Park County Sheriff’s Office’s aid as well.

The shootout with Wirth,to , remains under investigation by the 11th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Memorial services for Carrigan are set for 11 a.m. March 14 at the Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada.

Master Patrol Deputy Kolby Martin, an 11-year veteran of the office, was shot multiple times in the lower extremities during the confrontation and was in fair condition at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood.

Capt. Mark Hancock, a 21-year veteran of the office, suffered an ear injury but was treated and released.
