David Weekley shows off its new row home model in Stapleton’s South End, and four other communities with reasonable prices

Getting your player ready...

Year after year, the new-urban lifestyle waiting in master-planned Stapleton makes it the top selling new home area in Colorado – actually, now the fourth-fastest selling community in the entire nation. That huge demand makes it hard to find new, affordably priced homes in Stapleton; but David Weekley Homes has several possibilities to show you – including a new line of Row Homes, spacious with practically no maintenance, that you can tour this Sunday, noon until 3 p.m.

Kanwaljit Brar, a doctor at National Jewish, got hold of one of those Row Homes in Stapleton’s South End last week – only two blocks from 9-for-10-star-rated William Roberts K-8 School, before a 15-minute rush hour commute to work. “They’re bigger, more modern, with a better layout,” she told me, after having shopped the nearby resale market in Stapleton’s South End.

You can see exactly the home she’s getting at Sunday’s open house by David Weekley’s Carol Moerman and Alli Hundley. Of the first eight South End Row Homes, six are already under contract – two still available from $450,414, including the model — an end unit with master suite on its main-level plus two bedrooms upstairs, each with ensuite-style baths. It’s at $560,000; and like others in the series, has a 2-car attached garage; bonus room on the ground level that works as an office; a big deck on the main level, covered courtyard, and bright, high ceilings in the entertaining areas – 14 feet on the model.

Dr. Brar’s Realtor Jessica Zalkin with Keller Williams says that Stapleton’s South End is highly sought-after: Montessori, Williams and Denver Science & Technology Schools are a short walk from this model; there’s lots of recreation; Stapleton’s Town Center and its shopping and dining is a mile west; and now, Mici Italian cuisine is open right across the boulevard.

Outside of David Weekley’s Row Homes, there’s nothing else new in Stapleton’s south area, notes Zalkin. To compare David Weekley’s mid-$400s price range on this, you could look to the newest offerings arriving two miles south at Lowry from the high $600s.

Meanwhile, today and all weekend Hundley and Moerman can show you David Weekley’s single-family ‘Cottages’ model in Conservatory Green – close to three other communities where David Weekley has other homes coming available, including single-family homes with alley-load garages, paired homes, and more row homes – set to include some of the most affordably priced offerings, if not the most, in all of Stapleton.

All are close to the Light Rail opening in April, linking Stapleton to Union Station and DIA. At Bluff Lake, David Weekley’s offerings are blocks from Bluff Lake Nature Center on the Sand Creek Regional Greenway; while Conservatory Green, Willow Park and Wicker Park all have creatively themed amenities designed as focal points for a new urban lifestyle.

To reach Conservatory Green (open all weekend) head east on MLK from Quebec to Central Park Blvd, then north 1.5 mile on Central Park to Northfield Blvd, left a half mile to Uinta, then north a block to E. 49th Place, and west. To reach Sunday’s special Row Home open house, take Central Park Blvd south 0.7 mile to Xanthia.
