
Julep, a contemporary Southern restaurant from chef and butcher Kyle Foster, is slated to open in early 2017 in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood.
Foster, currently the butcher at and , will open the room with his wife, Katy, of Stir Cooking School.
With family roots in Kentucky, Foster said in a release that Julep will be a “return to my own roots as well as the roots of food — preparing simple, good food and respecting the tradition of knowing where it comes from.”
Julep will occupy 2,750-square-foot space, plus a patio and mezzanine, in Larimer Row, a building being developed by Westbrook Development Partners at 3254 Larimer St.
Foster is a judge at this year’s this weekend and will be serving up the Cochon Chef’s Course Dinner at Rebel Restaurant on March 5.
The announcement follows on the heels of the news that of Asheville, N.C., will open its first restaurant outside the Southeast in Denver later this year.
