The Park County Sheriff’s Office is in the midst of a shakeup after the fatal shooting of a deputy, according to a CBS 4 report Wednesday night.
Sgt. Welles Tonjes was demoted Monday and then resigned, according to Channel 4. Undersheriff Monte Gore was placed on administrative leave Monday.

Park County Sheriff Fred Wegener could not be reached for comment Wednesday night.
He told the TV station the job actions were related to “how the deputies responded” during the incident.
