A vehicle hit a tree Wednesday night in southwest Denver and a person involved in the crash was taken to a local hospital.
The one-vehicle crash happened near the intersection of South Alcott Street and West Mississippi Avenue, according to an 8:31 p.m. Denver Police Department Twitter post.
The person taken to the hospital suffered serious injuries, police said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
