The remnants of a storm could drop a few more inches of snow in the mountains as sunny weather is forecast for the Front Range.

Up to 2 inches of snow could fall in the Colorado mountains on Tuesday, said Bob Kleyla, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Boulder.

“It looks like scattered showers in the afternoon and evening,” Kleyla said. There is only a 20 percent chance of snow in the mountains on Wednesday.

It should be mostly sunny in the Denver area Tuesday with a high near 51 degrees, according to the NWS in Boulder. The low Tuesday night will be around 29 degrees, according to the forecast.

It will begin to warm up through the remainder of the week, with the high temperatures reaching 55 on Wednesday, 62 on Thursday and 67 on Friday, the NWS says.

There is a 10 percent chance of rain in the metro area on Wednesday before 11 p.m.

A warm weekend is forecast for Denver, with a high of 67 degrees on Saturday and 68 degrees on Sunday.
