Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: The care and love of animals, and the challenges of running our own business.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We are a family-owned and -run business and we care about the needs of our employees and our customers. We take pride in the way we offer individual customer service because each dog has its own personality and needs. We offer quality care in the handling of our furry friends.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: Being able to help our customers in the care of their furry friends and having them come back for years, then they become a part of our family.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Finding qualified groomers that meet our standards. Any groomer that is hired by us goes through a six-month trial period before they are hired on permanently.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: That the owner was never in the grooming business before. The shop was started by a friend of her daughter, and she saw a business opportunity. She took over ownership 10 years ago. She has since retired and now her daughter runs the shop. We have customers that have been with us since Adorable Dog Grooming originally opened it’s doors.
