State fair season is in full swing, with nearly every state holding its fair between July and October (Florida’s is in February). It’s also fried-food-on-a-stick season. Editorial cartoonist Joe Heller of Wisconsin says people will put any crazy thing on a stick, while Nate Beeler of Ohio says a deep-fried butter cow on a stick was inevitable.
