Friday. Despite its embrace of theater, film and music, the Highland neighborhood’s Bug Theatre has enjoyed some of its best attendance in recent years with comedy events — namely the (recently-defunct) Grawlix stand-up showcase, which ended as its members were working on their truTV sitcom, “Those Who Can’t.” The theater, along with local producer-sponsor Sexpot Comedy, is hoping to recapture that magic with its new “Late Night at the Bug” series, which launches March 11 with Denver-bred national comic Ben Kronberg (“Last Comic Standing”) and locals Sam Tallent, Zach Reinert and Mallory Wallace, with host David Rodriguez. 10 p.m., 3654 Navajo St. $10. or 303-477-9984.
