Getting your player ready...

The E-470 Beltway, which can put a commuter living in Centennial or south Aurora into the heart of the I-25 business/technology corridor in as few as ten minutes, is giving homebuyers a whole new way of looking at the Southeast metro area this year. Continuing the legacies of Ryland and Standard Pacific, CalAtlantic Homes, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, will give you a good reason to come see how well that commute works today, at its Whispering Pines master-planned community, south of 470 at Gartrell.

It’s a discovery that could not only better your quality of life, but compare favorably dollar-wise to areas you’ve already explored, that have seemingly good commutes to Meridian, Lone Tree and the Tech Center, says Dan Nickless, Denver Division President of CalAtlantic Homes.
Today CalAtlantic’s team at Whispering Pines can show you the amenities, including the proximity to Cherry Creek’s Black Forest Hills Elementary School — but also some homes that can deliver right away; with ones that can work for a family looking for great value on bedrooms and family living space; or for a buyer, wanting an expansive ranch- floorplan with everything on the main level.

You can tour a family-sized Collage plan, three bedrooms plus a study, priced at $475,000, or a roomy Bliss ranch plan that backs to an area of open space within Whispering Pines, at $499,900. Both of the CalAtlantic floor plans come with full, day-lit walkout basements opening onto covered patios; each with a deck off the entertaining area that’s sized large enough for your dinner party to enjoy cocktails. Both homes, says Nickless, incorporate thoughtful exterior architectural details and have been appointed with premium features including extended hardwood floors, quartz tops, and stainless appliances.

When you tour Whispering Pines, you’ll also hear about a master plan that will add value well beyond comparably priced areas you may be seeing in other south Denver areas. In addition to the Cherry Creek Schools (there’s also a site for future school within the community) you’ll see renderings of an elaborately styled community center, The Outlook, with large, themed-designed pool; 24-acre Whispering Pines Park, oriented to preserve the tall ponderosa pines of the Black Forest; and trails that feed into Sampson Gulch and Piney Creek Trails.

My drive out from the Denver Tech Center via E-470 was 15 minutes; and the alternate route via Arapahoe Road is now being widened. To view the homes set for delivery, from E-470 take the Gartrell exit, head south a block to Aurora Parkway, then turn north a mile to Irish Drive and head east. Or from Smoky Hill Road near Southlands, take Aurora Parkway south a mile to Irish and turn east.
