A pedestrian crosses Denver s 16th Street Mall as one of the mall s free shuttle buses approaches. (Denver Post file)
Re: Moving 16th Street Mall shuttles to other streets is a dead-end idea, March 13 Perspective article.
This is to add my voice to Bill Clarke s many reasons not to move [the 16th Street Mall s] free shuttles over to parallel streets.
My wife and I live downtown on 15th Street; adding a regular mall shuttle to our street, along with the bicycle lane, will constrict traffic and make turns difficult.
And people who live in the suburbs give me other complaints about the mall — for one, the tourist traps with cheap Colorado souvenirs need to be replaced by smart shops. And bring back the D&F Department Store!
