The band’s new single is called “Up 2 Me.” The satin-cloaked R&B groove is Air Dubai’s first new song since 2014’s

According to drummer Nick Spreigl, who has been busying himself backing up Island Records’ , Air Dubai has no concrete plans for an imminent EP or LP. Instead, the band plans on releasing songs as they’re ready.

“We’re just going to put stuff out there,” Spreigl said. “We’re trying to streamline the process and close that gap between us and the listener. How the songs are packaged isn’t so important to us.”

If Saturday’s raucous reception at Pearl’s was any indication, fans don’t care how and when the band releases new music either, so long as they keep it up.

“We were definitely curious as to how everyone would react to us coming back,” Spreigl said.
