A person hunting for antlers in the Trout Creek Pass area reported finding human remains.
Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze indicated Wednesday that foul play is under consideration.
He declined to give further details about the location of the discovery.
“I don’t want people to go up there,” Spezze said. “We’re investigating it as a homicide.”
The area is blocked off so that deputies can search the area, he said.
