Let’s be real: Any music festival commemorating 4/20 holding down the festivities. Coloradans have seen more than enough of the weed-loving caricature he’s become in recent years.
While we’d like to think the fresh blood picked for this year’s Civic Center Rally was because of a wizened organizer, the truth is that Snoop was, of course, to another Denver 4/20 event. Barring him (and probably a call in to ), the next logical choice is Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne.
Mr. Black and Yellow and Lil Weezy are no strangers to the cannabis game. Wiz has been known for his affinity of the herb, despite a recent interview with Reverb intimating he doesn’t want to be thought of as a By the look of his latest album, “,” Khalifa has tossed that flight of fancy out the window.
Lil Wayne most joined up with Denver Broncos’ MVP Von Miller on his celebration tour post Super Bowl 50, and is readying his and “Tha Carter V.”
The big smoke party takes place April 16, the weekend before 4/20, at Denver Civic Center Park at 10 a.m. Admission is free. For more information, head over to .
