
Two men who are relatives of a Crowley County man reported missing more than six years ago have been arrested in connection to the case.
Richard Kirk was reported missing in Crowley County by family members in January 2010. Kirk was 60 at the time of his disappearance.
On Wednesday, David Kirk, 43, the nephew of Richard Kirk was arrested on . David Kirk is being held in the Otero County Jail.
David Kirk was arrested after agents with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Crowley and Otero County sheriff’s offices served a warrant in Swink, near La Junta.
“CBI agents obtained the warrant based on new investigative information in (Richard) Kirk’s case that led to the search of the residence,” the CBI release said.
On Friday, John Jacob Kirk, 71, the brother of Richard, was arrested on suspicion of accessory to second-degree murder, according to a CBI news release.
The Crowley County Sheriff’s Office requested that the CBI lead the investigation into Richard Kirk’s disappearance.
