1 Tread prints. Police responded to a home alarm in the 2600 block of South Oakland Street and discovered that someone tried to pry open a back door April 3. The son of the homeowners accused a friend of his because he noted that the suspect’s footprints in the snow matched shoes that person owns.

2 Fake check. A woman who lives in the 3000 block of North Abilene Street received a fraudulent check in the mail from a scammer and deposited it in her bank account March 29. Her bank froze her accounts, and so she had to report her mistake.

3 Egged house. A woman who lives in the 26900 block of East Quarto Place reported that someone showered her house and garage with eggs April 3. There are no suspects.

4 Jobsite robbers. Employees with Richmond Homes called police March 28 because someone took $1,600 worth of home building materials from the 7000 block of South Tempe Court. There are no suspects.

5 Missing jack. A patrolling officer was flagged down in the 900 block of Tucson Street by a man who said he thinks one of his neighbors stole his car jack while it was in his driveway March 31. There was no evidence.

6 Stolen tools. Police responded to the 900 block of South Walden Way because someone broke a man’s passenger-side window and stole hundreds of dollars worth of tools that he had in his back seat April 4.
