Colorado Springs police on Wednesday said they had arrested two men in connection with a shooting that occurred Monday on the city’s northeast side.

The men — Dulio Martinez, 19, and Timothy Flores, 23 — were being held on charges of attempted aggravated robbery and illegally discharging a weapon into a dwelling in connection with Monday’s incident at The Lodges apartment complex near Pulpit Rock Park.

The complex is on the 5800 block of North Nevada Avenue near the University of Colorado Colorado Springs campus, where a number of students live.

Neither Martinez nor Flores is a student at UCCS or a resident of the apartment complex, police said in a statement issued Wednesday.

No one was injured in Monday’s incident but police said they found a number of bullet holes in an apartment door and spent shells in the parking lot.

Police found the two men on Tuesday after responding to a separate report of a shooting on East Pikes Peak Avenue near downtown.

El Paso County court records show Martinez has a misdemeanor conviction for petty theft that was deferred in March pending successful completion of probation.
