
Colorado Rapids defender Sean St. Ledger will be out four to six weeks after undergoing surgery on his right knee, the club announced Wednesday.
The Rapids said the 31-year-old center back had an arthroscopic procedure Tuesday and repair work was done on a torn meniscus.
This is since the end of the 2015 season. He after the first procedure.
The former Ireland international signed with the Rapids in August and played 1,048 minutes (12 starts) for Colorado last season, but has yet to see the field in 2016.
“We hope this is a fresh start for Sean,” Paul Bravo, Rapids VP of soccer operations and technical director, said in a news release announcing the surgery.
