LoS

“Whoever scores the celestial dance of the comet most evocatively will become the Lord of Synth. The losers will be banned from music for a period of 100 years.”

With those sentence, Adult Swim’s “Live at the Necropolis: Lords of Synth” (not to be confused with Yanni’s ) transcends parody, and becomes a wish for an alternate reality.

How great would it be if the synth culture rang in by the likes of Yanni, Georgio Moroder and Wendy Carlos — or Xangelix, Morgio Zoroger and Carla Wendos — kept on to the point where it became a nationally televised competition attended by the President? Also, that all of the cheesy space magic of the 80s worst sci-fi shows was real, and you could turn the tides of humanity with the power of a synthesizer?

Wonder no more. Curl up with Panos the Wonder Child, grab a vial of crystallized eternal plus, the “powerful creative drug not yet available to the masses,” and watch the latest in Adult Swim’s of weird, internet-savvy videos below.

(NSFW due to some language and just general oddity.)
