
Denver will sound the city’s warning sirens at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The city’s outdoor warning sirens normally urge residents to seek shelter immediately and look for information from the media for further instructions. The best places to shelter during a tornado, according to a news release from the city, is in a basement or interior room, and away from windows.

On Sunday, the city of Aurora received some criticism after it sounded outdoor sirens before the National Weather Service had issued any warnings.
