Balmy weather with the temperature rising to nearly 70 degrees under sunny skies is in store for the Denver metro area on Thursday.
Breezy conditions are expected with winds out of the southeast between 7 to 16 mph and gusts up to 24 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
“It’s going to be sunny and breezy today and tomorrow,” said Kari Bowen, NWS meteorologist.

On Saturday, temperatures will start to drop, as the next storm enters the state in the evening. The high will be only about 65.
That trend continues on Sunday, when the high will be 64 degrees and there is a better chance for rain.
By Monday, the high will only be around 58 degrees. Rain and thunder is possible before noon.
The temperature won’t increase until Wednesday when it will be up to around 63 degrees under partly sunny skies, according to the forecast.
