A homicide victim who crashed a truck into a fence in a parking lot near Yosemite Street and Richthofen Place in Aurora early Monday morning had been shot multiple times, police said.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting happened around 2:24 a.m., according to Diana Cooley, a spokeswoman for the Aurora Police Department.
No suspects have been identified. Detectives from the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit and officers from the Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation in the case, Cooley said.
The shooting happened several hours after and a suspect arrested.
The two homicide cases are not related, Cooley said.
