Getting your player ready...

Predicting the weather in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains is perhaps the most treacherous of all the meteorological sports.

Does that 15 percent chance of rain mean I’ve got a 1-in-8 chance of getting soaked or sprinkled on? We only know it means that yes, you have a chance. Here’s the forecast for the stops along ():

Carbondale weather (Ride The Rockies Day 0)

Carbondale’s forecast for Saturday, June 11: High of 68 degrees with an overnight low of 44 heading into Sunday.

Aspen weather (Day 1)

Sunday in Aspen is forecast to hit 76 degrees with an overnight low of 43, standard temperatures for this time of year. There’s a 15 percent chance of evening showers.

Copper Mountain weather (Days 2 and 3)

There’s a 36 percent chance of thunderstorms Monday at Copper Mountain. Monday’s high will hit 70 degrees. The overnight low is 36. There’s a 20 percent chance of overnight showers.

Tuesday at Copper Mountain looks a lot like Monday, minus the chance of storms: High of 71 degrees, low of 37.

Grand Lake weather (Day 4)

It’s clear skies all day once you get to Grand Lake on Wednesday, with a high of 78 degrees and a low of 46.

Estes Park weather (Day 5)

Estes Park is forecast to have the hottest day of the ride (again, once you get there). The forecast high is 81 degrees, with an overnight low of 48.

Fort Collins weather (Day 6)

Salutations! It’s the last day of Ride The Rockies. Fort Collins is fixing to be a scorcher: 91 degrees with maybe a thunderstorm, as of the current (June 7, 2016) forecast.
