Thank you for calling out Republican Senate candidate Jon Keyser’s lies about the Iran nuclear agreement. It is a tremendous success which prevented Iran from building a nuclear bomb and prevented another war.
The agreement not only made further diplomacy possible, freeing five American prisoners and freeing U.S. soldiers overnight who had strayed into Iranian territory, but also paves the way for a diplomatic solution in Syria.
The United Nations continues to certify that Iran is living up to its end of the bargain, including filling its plutonium reactor with concrete, and we must continue to live up to our negotiated side of the agreement by lifting the sanctions detailed within it.
Because I support diplomacy and oppose more war, I applaud Sen. Michael Bennet and Rep. Jared Polis for supporting this agreement, and call on them and Sen. Cory Gardner to support continued implementation and to always support diplomacy over war.
