ExpandLeaders of Colorado’s Muslim community were shocked and saddened by that apparently was perpetrated by a Muslim gunman and plan to address the media on Sunday, said Qusair Mohamedbhai, general counsel for the Colorado Muslim Society.
Representatives of major Muslim organizations and mosques throughout the state will attend the 2:30 p.m. news conference, at the organization’s headquarters at 2071 S. Parker Road, Mohamedbhai said.
Muslims are reacting with “extreme sorrow,” Mohamedbhai said. “People are having a difficult time understanding it.”
Members of the Colorado Muslim Society are heartbroken over the attack, and share the pain of the and the families of those whose lives were taken, Mohamedbhai said.
