A person was seriously injured early Tuesday evening when a vehicle hit a tree in Denver.
The crash happened in the 1500 block of Xanthia Street, according to a 6:25 p.m. Twitter post by the Denver Police Department.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Traffic is being slowed by the crash and the ongoing investigation.
Drivers should avoid the area if possible, police said.
