Sitting with her daughter Kelly, right, and husband Richard, left, at her home in Eldorado Springs, Maggie Luck talks about her support again this year for Climb4Life rock climbing event, even as she continues to fight her battle against Ovarian cancer.

Re: “” and “,” June 15 news stories.

In light of the recent tragic events in Orlando, Fla., it was very refreshing to read about Maggie Luck, a Boulder runner and climber who has ovarian cancer that has spread to her brain, and Andre van Hall, who participated in the Ride the Rockies bicycle tour despite behind blind.

The people mentioned in these news accounts, and their hearts and actions in connection with very challenging physical and emotional situations, had me in tears.

What a prince we have in Maggie Luck’s husband Richard! And what a great guy is Tim Jackson, being eyes and heart for a blind cyclist — incredible! Thank you for enriching my day profoundly.
