Heat causes a portion of Buckley Road to collapse

The high, near-record-breaking temperatures Sunday have caused a concrete panel on northbound South Buckley Road in Arapahoe County to collapse from the heat, according to Arapahoe County officials.

The road between East Peakview Avenue and East Arapahoe Road is closed while emergency repairs are made. The road is expected to be reopened by Monday afternoon, according to Arapahoe County.
