A Lakewood couple whose bodies were found Sunday in their home probably died in a murder-suicide, Lakewood police said Monday.
The 66-year-old man and 58-year-old woman were also determined to have been husband and wife, said Timmy Marquez, a detective with the Lakewood Police Department.
Police responded to a death investigation Sunday around 12:11 p.m. on the 8100 block of West Eastman Place on report of a dead man and woman at that location, now determined to be their shared home.
The names of the man and woman are not being released at this time while police try to contact family members, according to a news release. Police said were “confident” the couple died in a murder-suicide.
