
Grifters and music lovers?A woman who lives in the 4100 block of Dawson Road, Douglas County, on May 31 received a call from two men claiming to be with the IRS and demanding she pay $4,870 in taxes they claimed she owed. They threatened to put her jail if she did not pay. On their instruction, she purchased $2,294 in iTunes gift cards and gave them the activation codes. She then determined she had been defrauded, called police and tried to get the gift cards canceled.
Welcome to the family. Police were dispatched to a home in the 7300 block of Balmoral Court, Castle Pines, after an argument at wedding party got out of hand and some intoxicated guests began threatening each other. A woman made some remarks that upset the bride, leading her brotherto allegedly tell the woman, “If you make my sister cry, I will kill you.” The woman’s brother confronted himand the argument spilled out onto the front lawn. The police arrived and things calmed down. No charges were filed.
Fire faker. Parker police are trying to determine who falsely pulled a fire alarm in an apartment building in the 17000 block of Carlson Drive, Parker, on June 3.
