Two days removed from losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Roman Reigns was suspended 30 days by the company Tuesday for violating its talent wellness policy.
“I apologize to my family, friends and fans for my mistake in violating WWE’s wellness policy,” Reigns tweeted moments after the announcement. “No excuses. I own it.”

Reigns lost his title to Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank on Sunday. Rollins’ win was short-lived as Dean Ambrose cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase he won earlier in the evening and won the title to close out the pay-per-view.
The three former members of the stable The Shield were slated for a triple-threat match for the belt at Battleground on July 24 in Washington D.C. The match is still scheduled on WWE.com.
Reigns has been one of the WWE’s biggest stars over the past few years. He headlined the company’s annual flagship event, WrestleMania, each of the last two years.
