The National Weather Service expects skies to be mostly clear through most of the week, with only a small chance of thunderstorms and showers in the afternoons and evenings until Wednesday.

“There is a warmer and drier trend throughout this weekend. There will be mostly sunny skies. There is a small chance of afternoon thunderstorms, but it will be mostly sunny throughout the day,” said meteorologist Kari Bowen.

The 10 percent chance of afternoon and evening showers will fade Wednesday, and mostly sunny weather is expected through Thursday.

Temperatures are expected to range from 86 degrees Sunday to a high for the week of 94 degrees Tuesday.

The chance of afternoon storms in the mountains is 20 to 30 percent, Bowen said.

The weather is expected to be similar throughout the state, Bowen said.
