The water utility serving the Monument area has banned outdoor watering until further notice in an emergency action caused by an undisclosed problem.

The TriView Metropolitan District began the restrictions Monday saying enforcement could be leveled against residents who ignore the ban.

Violators could face up to a $750 penalty for four or more infractions, the district says.

“We are continuing to experience a water problem and are asking that all residents stop outside watering until we are able to correct the issue,” the district said in a notice . “Your patience and cooperation are appreciated.”
