to allow social consumption of marijuana may appear on Denver ballots this fall.
One initiative would allow private pot consumption clubs, while the other would allow nearly any business, including a bar, to offer a public “consumption area,” as long as the neighborhood approves.
The pot-club initiative is backed by the Denver chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML). The other group includes the Marijuana Policy Project, law firm Vicente Sederberg and business owners.
