My heart is deeply saddened by the current state of affairs regarding the federal judicial system and the rule of law. How is it even remotely possible that the director of the FBI can review the evidence of Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server and then say she didn’t intend to break the law? This is just a case of being “careless”? I suppose it will be overlooked now if I speed through a school zone and I tell the officer I was perhaps “careless” but didn’t intend to break the law? Fat chance in avoiding the full weight of the legal system coming down on my wallet.
What is this nation coming to when one powerful family can continuously skirt the law and get away with it? Lord have mercy on us all.

As a retired political journalist, I much appreciated your concise summary of Hillary Clinton’s bogus e-mail defense statements and the straight facts unveiled in the FBI probe. The entire matter is complicated. The summary eclipsed the thousands of news stories and opinion pieces on what actually happened. It also clearly demonstrated the Clinton arrogance, sense of entitlement, twisting of the truth, and poor judgment that should prove to those who read it that she does not have the character to be president.

Now that Hillary Clinton has been exonerated by FBI Director James Comey, here’s the next great idea for the GOP: Have Rep. Trey Gowdy launch a congressional investigation into the FBI! Gowdy’s not doing anything else these days.
Oh, wait — Comey is a Republican. Never mind.
